...'' I have been going to Crossfit for about two months now. Having trained regularly for most of my life I can honestly say that Crossfit is the most enjoyable and varied workout I have ever done. Make no mistake, It is hard but you really feel results after a workout (all the activities can also be scaled down to suit your level). A really great bunch of people too and the environment is a friendly one with a focus on encouragement and support. The coaches take their time with you and guide you through the motions so that your form is correct and you don't strain or injure yourself. I dont have a bad word to say about Crossfit, Im hooked! I joined twoton crossfit back in January 2013, not knowing what to expect and out of shape!!! , my background is football and I've never been into gyms , it was extremely hard at first and a massive shock to the system but with the coaches and the great atmosphere down there I was hooked straight away . Everything about twoton crossfit works the set up down there, the fantastic coaches and the brilliant classes and wods you will take part in!!! I have got many friends to join all at different levels of fitness and they all are hooked! The great team atmosphere they have down there is fantastic and you really feel part of a great sports club , I don't have enough good things to say about twoton it basically rocks!!! FACT!!!! ''...

...''I retired from playing football last year after finally accepting that I hadn't just lost a yard of pace but that I actually wasn't very good anymore. I spent the summer eating and thinking about how I could replace the buzz that football gave me at the same time as ensuring that I don't become lazy and fat, thus becoming lazy and fat. A friend had been going on (and on and on) about Crossfit as an option but I kept dismissing it on the basis that I hate gym's and the thought of men staring at each others muscles without actually working out at all. Finally and mainly just to shut my friend up, I agreed to do the Onramp to see what the fuss was about. That was 100 days ago last Sunday and I haven't looked back since.

Crossfit gives me everything that I used to get from football by way of camaraderie and belonging to a team. At the same time I have lost 2 stone and feel fitter, healthier and stronger than I have ever felt in my life. I go along to the Twoton box between 3/4 times a week and more when my wife allows it. At my box I work out with some of the fittest people I have ever met at the same time as someone who has done very little exercise in their life. It is difficult to describe how this works but it just does. Ego's are left at the door and you genuinely celebrate the achievements of others more than your own. If you are thinking about trying Crossfit you're thinking too much.....get in your car, drive to the box, work the rest out when you get there!!! ''... Dave Tucker

 

...'' I just wanted to let you know how much I am benefitting from Twoton Crossfit. I was very dubious about Crossfit when i started 5 months ago as I have suffered with a bad back since my pregnancy 5 years ago. I had no curve in my lower back and inflammation in the lower spine. My hamstrings were awful. I struggled with lifting and general daily activities. I was quickly nicknamed Little Miss Supple after my first session so it was good to hear how bad my instructor knew I was! I really feel that the instructors get to know you and your limitations and will always offer you a scaled version if you know you will struggle with a move.Crossfit is the hardest exercise class I have ever attended but also the most satisfying and apart from running, it is the only one I have stuck to! The gang at Twoton are such a friendly, helpful bunch, it feels like a real team, training at different levels but towards the same goals.I am 42 years old and have never felt fitter. My back is the strongest it has been in a long time and my Cranial Osteopath is amazed at my results. I now have a curve in my lower back and I am finding it easier to keep a straighter posture. I did Pilates, weekly for 5 years and my core and back has never been so strong as it is through crossfit. My shape has changed, my clothes feel different and I am no longer looking at the scales. Crossfit has made me fit for life, fit to enjoy the fun to be had with a 5 year old and I am very grateful for that.When I first started crossfit I planned to attend once a week... I now go twice a week and am aiming for three times. Be prepared its addictive! ''...
