WE ARE HAPPENING...
CrossFit Kids is a strength and conditioning program designed to effectively teach the CrossFit methodology to children through age appropriate instruction.
In a group setting children participate in fun and engaging workouts that delivery measurable results.
This prepares them to not only be well rounded athletes but also hard working and tenacious people.Kids workouts consist of constantly varied functional movements that delivers a fitness that is broad and inclusive.
The workouts focus on developing the 10 general skills of fitness:
Cardiovascular/respiratory endurance - The ability of body systems to gather, process, and deliver oxygen.
Stamina - The ability of body systems to process, deliver, store, and utilize energy.
Strength - The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply force.
Flexibility - the ability to maximize the range of motion at a given joint.
Power - The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply maximum force in minimum time.
Speed - The ability to minimize the time cycle of a repeated movement.
Coordination - The ability to combine several distinct movement patterns into a singular distinct movement.
Agility - The ability to minimize transition time from one movement pattern to another.
Balance - The ability to control the placement of the bodies centre of gravity in relation to its support base.
Accuracy - The ability to control movement in a given direction or at a given intensity.
Our CrossFit Kids coaches are trained and qualified instructors with specific training to coach children. The coaches have been background check are are checked annually. Most of all CrossFit Kids is fun and engaging and prepares children with a broad base of fitness and skills that they will come to use throughout there lives.
CROSSFIT KIDS TIMES:
4:15 pm - 5:00pm
Yr 3- Yr6 ( 7-11yrs old) - Mondays
Yr 7 - Yr10 (12-15yrs old) - Tuesdays
Yr3- Yr6 (7-11yrs old) - Wednesdays
All Kids sessions are setup as term long courses and run alongside the school term. If you would like your child to join mid way through the term, please email and we can arrange for your child to fit in midway through the term if there is availibility. Kids term courses can be book through our booking system.
